2025-2026 BVRA Skating and Goalie Camps


BVRA will once again be offering Power Skating camps for U10 to U16 and Goalie Camp sessions for U10 to U19.

 

All sessions will run on Sundays at Bertrand Arena, from Nov 9th - Dec 14th, 2025, and starting back up Jan 4th - Feb 8th, 2026.

 

Registration OPENS Friday, October 17th at 5pm for BVRA players/goalies only (includes amalgamated players/goalies)

All other associations at 5pm on Sunday, October 19th, 2025.

$170 with $50 rebate back for BVRA and amalgamated goalies if they attend 7 out of 12 sessions

The Goalie sessions will be run by Caroline Girardin & Abbi Doig

The Player sessions will be run by Brooke Enns & group from Competitive Edge. Focus will be on game development- shooting, checking, passing, receiving, games skills and game play strategies offensively and defensively. 

 

Players will be divided by skill level:

INTERMEDIATE

  • Intermediate requirements/focus is more on backwards stride and forward crossovers as their primary challenge skills.
  • Participant needs to have a solid forwards stride and have basic ability of stops and starts, turns, and transitions.
  • Start/stops, turns, and transitions, forward skating are skills that will be addressed in both groups but at different levels.
  • Please note participants may be moved up or down a level based on skill set. 

ADVANCED:

  • Advanced focus is more on backwards skills like backwards crossovers, edges, balance, and agility: more advanced forwards crossovers, transitions and turns.
  • Advanced participant needs to have a solid backwards stride and forwards crossovers so they can build upon that (in combination of the intermediate skills!)
  • Start/stops, turns, and transitions, forward skating are skills we will address in both groups but at different levels.
  • Participants may be moved up or down a level based on skill level.
