Details:

Goalie Camps

The Goalie sessions will be ran by Caroline Girardin & Abbi Doig

Power Skating Camps

The power skating sessions will be run by Brooke Enns & group from Competitive Edge Power. Focus will be on skill development- technical skating, shooting, checking, passing, receiving, and battle skills that translate to both offensive and defensive game play.

Players will be divided by skill level (intermediate or advanced) within their age grouping. Please note participants may be moved up or down a level based on skill set.

INTERMEDIATE:

  • Intermediate requirements/focus is more on backwards stride and forward crossovers as their primary challenge skills.
  • Participant needs to have a solid forwards stride and have basic ability of stops and starts, turns, and transitions.
  • Start/stops, turns, and transitions, forwards skating are skills that will be addressed in both groups but at different levels.

ADVANCED:

  • Advanced focus is more on backwards skills like backwards crossovers, edges, balance, and agility. More advanced forwards crossovers, transitions and turns.
  • Advanced participant needs to have a solid backwards stride and forwards crossovers so they can build upon that (in combination of the intermediate skills!)
  • Start/stops, turns, and transitions, forwards skating are skills we will address in both groups but at different levels.
